Here’s the first attempt at a production. The Music is by myself and Jon Amor.

The new design is to evoke a sense of a new dawn, new growth and new life. I also wanted to bring some color and contrast to the shop. This will come from the Ludwigia Glandulosa, Rotala Rontunifolia and Ludwigia Arcuata contrasting with the dark greens of the Microsorum and Bolbitis.

The design is based around several triangles and with a mound or central (triangle) island design. The use of ADA Dragon Stone lends its self well to drawing the eye from right to left – following the idea of creating strata lines, like what can be seen in nature.

The above video, at just over 30 minutes long is a condensed version of the day. The actual demonstration lasted about 6 hours, so this is no real substitute for the experience of being there on the day, but it should prove useful and interesting for many aquascaping hobbyists and professionals.

A quick step by step run through of Oliver Knotts demo on a 120cm tank at the Green Machine in Wrexham, UK on 17th September 2009.

Another go at videoing the tank with 4 x 54w t5. It’s still un even, with the mid ground lacking light. I really need to be in the mood to do it right, and to be honest the tank is rather untidy, which doesn’t inspire me.

for some that may not know, this tank isn’t at my home, it’s at a family members house. I go frequently, but not enough. Up keep of the stems, cutting old anubias leaves out is time consuming when away from home. This shall be my last ‘away from home’ tank
